The World Bank published the Women, Business and the Law report
Women, Business and the Law 2023is the ninth in a series of annual reports that analyze laws and regulations affecting women’s economic opportunity in 190 economies.
This year the report has for the first time presented overall assessment of the annual data collected for the past five decades from 1970 to 2022. The indicators are used to get data on the relationship between legal gender equality and women's entrepreneurship and employment.
Based on the conducted research, Kazakhstan showed 75.6 points out of 100, which is below the average regional indicator shown in Europe and Central Asia (84.4). The maximum point in Europe and Central Asia is 94.4 (Cyprus).
