BAKAD (Big Almaty Ring Road) opening ceremony

On 16 June 2023, AEQUITAS Partner Ardak Idayatova participated in the BAKAD (Big Almaty Ring Road) opening ceremony.

Congratulations to all participants of this project, which is of great significance for Almaty, including our Infrastructure & PPP team.

Over the past five years, AEQUITAS has been acting as a local counsel for the international development banks as part of work on project financing for the BAKAD project and assisting to adapt international project finance structures to the Kazakhstan legal environment. 

While being the first concession with project financing, the BAKAD project has been implemented with the participation of a syndicate of international development banks (EBRD, IDB and EDB).  The project was structured by reputable international advisors in accordance with the advanced international practices.
